According to a survey conducted in Italy in 2024, men were more likely than women to engage with video games and eSports. Around ** percent of those who followed eSports were men, a share that is more than double the proportion of women who did the same. When it came to video games, the discrepancy was less notable, with around ** percent of the video gaming audience being men, compared to the ** percent that corresponded to female respondents.
