The outstanding value of the credit by all commercial banks in the United States has increased for several months in a row between December 2023 and March 2025. In 2025, the value of bank securities, loans, and leases is much higher than several years ago. The last time in which the value of credit went through periods of decline was between 2008 and 2010, as well as a brief period between March to November 2023.
