This statistic represents the most important net importing countries of oil in 2013, by country. With net imports of around 6.2 million barrels per day, China was ranked second that year. Asia's economic powerhouse is set to become the world's largest net oil importer in 2014. Saudi Arabia, Angola, Russia and Iran are the most important source countries for Chinese crude oil imports.
