In 2024, China Southern Airlines carried 164.73 million passengers, 145.17 million of which were on domestic routes. The decline in passenger numbers between 2020 and 2022 came as a result of reduced flight operations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Travel restrictions have been implemented in various countries around the world to curb the spread of the virus.
