This statistic shows the average nominal monthly income of migrant workers in China from 2022 to 2024, by industry. In 2024, a migrant worker in the hotel and gastronomy sector in China earned on average 4,141 yuan per month, 143 yuan more than in the previous year.

One yuan equals approximately 0.14 U.S. dollars and 0.12 euros (as of May 2025).
The data have been collected through a survey which covered rural workers from 31 provinces, 1,730 districts and 8,613 villages.
Figures for earlier years have been taken from previous publications.
