U.S. retail price of spaghetti 1995-2024

In 2024, a pound of spaghetti or macaroni would cost consumers in the United States about 1.38 U.S. dollars. While the retail price of spaghetti fluctuates slightly each year, a clear and permanent increase in price could be seen between 2007 and 2008. 

Pasta and rice

In 2018, total U.S. sales for rice amounted to almost two and a half billion U.S. dollars, while U.S. sales for pasta reached just over two billion. In terms of unit sales, however, pasta was bought more frequently than rice that year. Over one and a half billion units of pasta were sold in the United States, while U.S. rice unit sales reached just over one billion.

Refrigerated pizza

Private labels dominated the U.S. refrigerated pizza and pizza kit market in 2021. Private labels made 273 million U.S. dollars, which translates to almost 49 million units sold. The leading refrigerated pizza and pizza kit vendors in the country that year were Arytza LLC, Uno Foods Inc, and Nardone Brothers Baking.
