In 2022, Alcoa, a Pittsburgh-based aluminum producer, generated some 5.5 billion U.S. dollars from its sales operations in the United States. The Netherlands was the region that had the second largest sales revenue, with over three billion U.S. dollars.

*The majority of the aluminum from Canadian smelters and a portion of the alumina from Australian and Brazilian refineries were sold in the United States. Additionally, beginning at the end of the third quarter of 2021, sales of aluminum off-take relating to an interest in the Saudi Arabia joint venture were made in the US.
**At the end of the first quarter of 2021, sales of the aluminum produced at smelters in Iceland and Norway began in the Netherlands.
