In April 2025, approximately 81 percent of all Android applications available through the Amazon Appstore were available for free and 19 percent were paid downloads. The Amazon Appstore hosts a relatively large share of paid apps - in contrast, only three percent of mobile apps available in the Google Play Store required a purchase to download.
