Global LNG trade volume 1970-2023

In 2023, global liquefied natural gas trade volume amounted to 549 billion cubic meters. Between 1970 and 2023, figures increased by 546 billion cubic meters. In 2023, the United States was the world's major LNG exporting country, with and export volume of around 114 billion cubic meters. At that same time, China was the major LNG importing country, with figures over 97.8 billion cubic meters.
