Coal consumption in Canada 1998-2023

Canada's coal consumption amounted to some 370 petajoules in 2023, a decrease of nearly four percent in comparison to the previous year. During the period in consideration, figures dropped by around 890 petajoules, peaking at 1.34 exajoules in the years 2002 and 2003.
