H&M's most important markets

While the United States has the highest number of stores, Germany is H&M's largest market by sales. In 2024, well over 35 billion Swedish kronor were generated from that country alone. 

Brand awareness

Brand awareness of H&M was also lower in the United States than in the other key markets, Germany and the United Kingdom, in 2023. 77 percent of U.S. consumers were aware of the brand and one quarter of total consumers in the country had shopped at H&M.
