Chilled juice comprises four main types: smoothies (based predominatley on whole crushed fruit, chilled and with a short shelf life); freshly squeezed juice (not pasteurised, chilled with a shelf life of a few days); not from concentrate juice (squeezed then pasteurised, chilled with a shelf life of a few weeks); other chilled from concentrate (from concentrate or part squeezed and part from concentrate). Ambient or long life juice is mainly from concentrate and pasteurised; shelf life of up to 18 months."
