Per capita consumption of juice
In general, per capita consumption of juice in the United States has also gone down in recent years. In 2023, Americans consumed roughly 18 liters of juice. By comparison, in 2015, the average U.S. consumer drank closer to 20 liters.
Leading brands of refrigerated orange juice
There are many brands of refrigerated orange juice to be found on the competitive American market, including Simply Orange, Florida’s Natural, and Minute Maid Premium. The leading brand in terms of sales, however, was Tropicana Pure Premium in 2020. This particular beverage generated approximately 969 million U.S. dollars’ worth of sales that year. Tropicana Products, Inc. is a subsidiary of a multinational company by the name of PepsiCo. With a global net revenue of around 91.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2023, PepsiCo was one of the largest food and beverage companies in the world in that same year.

*Degrees Brix (symbol °Bx) is the sugar content of an aqueous solution. One degree Brix is 1 gram of sucrose in 100 grams of solution and represents the strength of the solution as percentage by weight. For 2007/08 and after, one metric ton of 65 degrees brix equals 344.8 gallons at 42 degrees brix and 1,392.6 gallons at single strength equivalent. Split years refer to the harvest and marketing period, which corresponds roughly to October-September in the Northern Hemisphere.
