This statistic shows the results of a survey question asking consumers whether they agreed with a set of statements regarding the ethical standards of retail companies in the United Kingdom (UK). The survey, conducted for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills in June 2014, aimed to gauge the publics' attitudes to ethical standards in retail in the UK and the impact this had on their purchase decisions. Of respondents, 38 percent agreed, to some extent, that they try to buy from companies that act in an ethical way, even it means spending more money.
