The number of acquisitions carried out abroad by companies in the United Kingdom (UK) fluctuated significantly between 1991 and 2024. In 2024, there were a total of 324 foreign acquisitions by UK companies, a ten percent increase compared to the previous year. The term "acquisition" refers to a process in which one company takes ownership and control of another company.
