Based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, Infosys is a multinational IT services and consulting company. Having an annual revenue of 18.6 billion U.S. dollars in fiscal year 2023, Infosys is India’s second largest software companies, trailing only Tata Consultancy Services. A bulk of Infosys’ net sales comes from providing services to clients from the financial services sector; energy and utilities, communication and services are other key business segments. North America is the company’s largest regional market, followed by the Europe; despite its Indian origin, Infosys only made a small amount of its 2024 revenue in the home country.
Tata Consultancy Services
As Infosys’ biggest rival, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has a towering presence in the Indian IT landscape. TCS’ annual revenue amounted to 2.3 trillion Indian rupees in fiscal year 2023, the equivalent of around 27.3 billion U.S. dollars. Like Infosys, TCS also makes the majority of their sales in North America and the home market India makes up only a small part of their overall revenue.
