In 2023, the United Kingdom (UK) was the European country with the largest ratio of discretionary mandate asset value to GDP. At that time, the ratio of assets managed by asset managers under the form of discretionary mandates to the GDP of the UK was 219 percent. Switzerland and the Netherlands followed, with a ratio of 170 percent and 112 percent, respectively.
