Ingenico was responsible for roughly 7.7 billion of the world's POS terminal shipments in 2023, outperforming Verifone from the U.S.. The payment processor from France was considered a leading POS producer since 2009 - the oldest figures available. The European company is somewhat of an outlier, as several companies in this list come from China. Examples include Newland Payment Technologyu (NPT), SZZT, Centerm, and PAX. This is not surprising as digital payments are forecast to grow significantly within Asia-Pacific, outperforming both Europe and North America.
