Air France and KLM expanded capacity after their 2004 merger
Air France-KLM was established in May 2004 as a result of the merger of French national carrier Air France and its Dutch counterpart KLM. Although the two airlines still fly under their original names, they’re both subsidiaries of the same parent company. The merger represented an increase in both fleet size and flight destinations for the two airlines. As of December 2023, Air France-KLM had *** airplanes from the Air France Group and *** airplanes from the KLM Group at its disposal.
