Global venture capital investments in the fintech sector more than doubled in 2021, reaching over 120 billion U.S. dollars, up from 45.7 billion U.S. dollars the previous year. However, in the following years, VC investments declined significantly, falling to 43.4 billion U.S. dollars in 2024. While this represented a decrease from the previous year, the rate of decline was notably slower than in prior years.
