BMW: new car registrations in Poland 2011-2024

BMW cars are very popular in Poland. Since 2011, there have been fluctuations in registrations of new BMW cars. 2023 saw a slight decrease compared to the previous year. Over 27,100 BMW brand cars were registered, marking a five percent increase over the previous year.

In 2023, an overall increase in new passenger car registrations in Poland was recorded, which amounted to 475 thousand cars. In 2023, Poles were most willing to buy Toyota cars. More than 91,000 thousand vehicles of this brand were sold. Among the popular passenger cars in Poland, Cupra cars were the most successful in 2023 in terms of sales growth.
Car sales in Poland
In 2023, Cupra saw a record 186 percent increase in sales of its cars on the Polish market. Ford recorded the most significant drop in sales. Over 26 percent fewer vehicles from this manufacturer were sold compared to the previous year. Among the individual car segments, Poles were more likely to buy midsize SUV and crossovers, and C-segment cars, i.e., midsize passenger cars in 2023. Among vehicles from the premium category, Cupra and Tesla recorded the highest sales growth in 2023. The growing popularity of car leasing is also worth mentioning. Nearly 74,000 passenger cars in Poland were leased in 2023, which was a decrease of 12 percent compared to the previous year.
