In 2024, around 5.59 million people in Germany were very interested in swimming, which was an increase compared to the year before. Around 48 million were barely or not at all interested. The figures are based on a survey conducted in Germany.

2020: 23,191 respondents, representing 70.63 million people

2022: 23,015 respondents, representing 70.60 million people
2023: 23,524 respondents, representing 70.08 million people

2024: 23,485 respondents, representing 70.48 million people
