As of the first half of 2022, the large majority of the complaints submitted to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regarding the general insurance and pure protection products in the United Kingdom (UK) were caused by general administration or customer service issues. General administration or customer service related complaints accounted for almost 64 percent of the insurance and pure protection product complaints reported to FCA in that time.
