In the financial year 2024/25, annual sales at the British DIY brand B&Q amounted to about 3.82 billion British pounds. B&Q is one of the many brands that the home improvement company Kingfisher plc owns, trading at store locations both in the UK and Ireland.  

Parent company continues making profit

Over the last few years, B&Q's parent company Kingfisher showed an overall decline in profit from its retail operations, with a slight recovery in 2025. Besides B&Q, Kingfisher’s retail portfolio includes another DIY and hardware brand Screwfix, which is active only in the UK.   

B&Q: A recognized DIY brand

B&Q is one of the most well-known brands in the UK. In 2023, the retailer had the highest brand awareness among UK consumers online. B&Q’s closer rival was Wilko, which is another subsidiary owned by British holding company of home improvement retailers Norton Group Holdings.
