The number of employees in the textile manufacturing industry in Bulgaria saw no significant changes in 2021 in comparison to the previous year 2020 and remained at around 11321 employees. Still, 2021 marked the fifth consecutive decline of the number of employees in this industry. According to Eurostat employed persons are all persons aged 15 and over who performed work, even for just one hour per week, for pay, profit or family gain during the reference week or were not at work but had a job or business from which they were temporarily absent because of, for instance, illness, holidays, industrial dispute, and education or training.

A worker from an employment agency is considered to be an employee of that temporary employment agency and not of the unit (customer) in which they work.
