The average annual spending per capita for online shopping in 2016 was as high as 1,118 euros in the United Kingdom and as low as 226 euros in Poland. The e-commerce revenue share of companies in Europe accounted for 16 percent of total revenues in the European Union in 2016. Czechia and Ireland were among countries with the highest share of revenues coming from e-commerce. The United Kingdom, Germany and France were among the countries with the highest proportion of internet users who use online shopping.
