The consumption of fresh sheep and goat meat in Spanish households amounted to roughly 39 million kilograms in 2023. The volume of consumption initiated a decline after 2011, on par with Spain's downward trend in meat consumption. Currently, goat and sheep consumption lies at an all-time low figure.
