The cosmetics market is divided in several segments, of which skin care is the second-largest one. In 2023, skin care had a market share of approximately 18 percent. In total, this segment was valued at roughly 550 million euros that year.
… but fragrances take the cake
The largest cosmetics segment in 2023 was the fragrances segment, which held a market share of over 20 percent that year. Dutch fragrance products sales grew considerably over the years, reaching some 640 million euros' worth of revenue in 2023.
