The volume of duck and goose foie gras imported by France fluctuated quite strongly between 2000 and 2022. Starting at under four thousand tons in 2000, the import volume of foie gras increased, reaching around 4,540 tons in 2012, before decreasing afterward. After some more fluctuations, the quantity of foie gras imported by France decreased to an estimated 2,444 tons in 2022. The volume of foie gras exported by France also fluctuated during that same period.
