Occupational fraud: criminal background of perpetrator worldwide 2020-2021

Most fraudsters in occupational fraud cases were never convicted of a fraud-related offense prior to committing the crime. In 2020 and 2021 87 percent of occupational fraud perpetrators were never charged or convicted before. Only six percent of perpetrators had prior convictions in 2020 and 2021.
