In 2022, global duty free and travel retail sales was estimated to be worth 64 billion U.S. dollars from the previous year's 52 billion. This value was still at a lower level than the pre-pandemic period. Travel retail includes all sales made in shops located in duty free areas or any areas dedicated to travelers.
