Carbon dioxide emissions from road transport in the United Kingdom are projected to fall by more than 55 percent by 2050 compared to 2020 levels. This decline is expected to occur due to new emission regulations, as well as an uptake in electric vehicle ownership in the UK. Presently, road transport is the biggest source of transport emissions in the UK.
