Environmental protection expenditure in Sweden 2021, by type and area

In Sweden, the largest sum of total environmental protection expenditure was spent on air. In 2021, the Swedish authorities spent more than seven billion Swedish kronor on environmental protection of air, of which 2.3 billion were running costs. The highest running costs of environmental protection was spent on waste management, amounting to 4.6 billion Swedish kronor in 2021.
