New members of Church of Sweden 2010-2024

In 2024, the number of people entering the Church of Sweden reached a record high 14,974. In 2021, almost 12,086 people entered the Swedish church, the second highest during the period under consideration. Apart from these two years, the number of people becoming members of the Church of Sweden only reached more than 11,000 in 2013, but has overall increased since 2010. This is despite the fact that the total share of Swedes who were members in the Church declined in recent years.

The Church of Sweden is the largest Christian church in Sweden, and it was the state church between the years 1536 to 2000.
