The number of employees at Mexico's national oil corporation Pemex (and its subsidiaries) has been mostly declining lately. By the end of 2023, the company employed around 128,616 people, which represents an increase of nearly seven percent in comparison to the previous. Pemex, once one of the largest oil companies in the world, has reported an annual drop in crude oil production throughout the past decade.
