Inbound tourist arrival growth in European countries 2019-2024
In 2024, the number of international tourist arrivals in most of the selected European countries surpassed pre-pandemic levels. For instance, the number of international tourist arrivals recorded in Spain between January and October 2024 was almost 12 percent higher than in 2019. That said, inbound tourist arrivals in other European destinations did not recover yet from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the selected European countries, Lithuania had the highest decrease in international arrivals over the period considered.
