In 2023, the leading Canadian airlines recorded just under 216.8 billion revenue passenger kilometers, representing a 32 percent increase compared to the previous year. Over the period given, the revenue passenger kilometer overall increased until 2019, before decreasing due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and 2021. However, in the following years, the revenue started increasing again.
