Most popular daily used social media networks Flemish teenagers 2016, by gender

The statistic displayed above shows the most popular daily used social media networks by teenagers in Flanders in 2016, by gender. In 2016, 85 percent of the boys indicated they used Facebook at least once a day. Facebook usage among girls differs only slightly, as 90 percent of the surveyed Flemish girls uses Facebook at least once a day.

The survey included daily social media usage of several social platforms. For example video platform YouTube, micro blogging platform Twitter and social picture platforms like Snapchat and Instagram. According to this survey, Facebook is the most popular social platform among Flemish teenagers. The social platform with the lowest daily usage among Flemish boys in 2016, is Pinterest. Five percent of boys from Flanders use the clipboard platform Pinterest daily. As for girls, Pinterest shares the last place of daily used platforms with Twitter. According to the survey, both platforms are used by almost 20 percent of the Flemish girls.
