Repeaters in primary schools in Italy 2017, by gender and region

This statistic shows the number of children who had to repeat a school year in primary school in Italy in 2017, divided by region and gender. Generally, the number of male pupils who had to repeat the year was higher compared to females in every region. In Lombardy, the number of males who had to repeate thier school year in 2017 amounted to 930, while the female repeaters accounted for 637 children.
