In the fourth quarter of 2023, the share of unemployed individuals in Italy aged between 15 and 24 years stood at 24 percent. Between 2013 and 2023, the youth unemployment rate recorded its highest figures in 2014. In 2022, the Italian regions registering the highest youth unemployment rate were the southern regions of Sicily, Campania, and Calabria with figures going from 35 percent to 43 percent.
