Number of movie tickets sold in Denmark 2007-2023

Throughout 2023, movie theaters across Denmark sold approximately 9.7 million tickets, down two percent from 9.89 million a year earlier. Moreover, the 2023 figure amounted to around 78 percent of the 12.5 million movie tickets sold in 2019, before the pandemic. Altogether, the Capital and the Central regions accounted for more than half of the cinema attendance in Denmark.
