The value of savings deposited by households in the Netherlands was at its highest during 2020 and 2021. During December 2020, Dutch households deposited approximately 37.5 billion euros to their savings at the bank, by far the highest figure recorded throughout the period considered in this graph.

The source states that "households comprises natural persons as well as associations and foundations not having a business purpose and self-employed persons with no staff". Also excluded are deposits from foreign households at Dutch banks.
