Ranking of clothing and fashion retail companies in Sweden 2023, by turnover

The multinational fashion retailer H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB made by far the highest revenue among companies in the clothing and fashion retail trade industry in Sweden. During its most recent financial year, it reached a revenue of nearly 200 billion Swedish kronor, which was far higher than the revenue of its competitors in Sweden. The H&M Group includes several brands, operating in more than four thousand physical stores worldwide.

Ranking by brand value 

When looking at brands such as H&M, the brand value is also often used to compare the position of a company with other brands in the industry. It is measured by the profit of the company and additionally by potential profits, reputation, prestige and market value. In 2022, the Swedish clothing brand H&M ranked among the top 10 apparel brands worldwide.

Import and export to and from Sweden

Although the total value of apparel and accessory exports from Sweden had grown considerably over the past decade, imports into Sweden had seen a slight drop in 2020. In 2021, Sweden had exported a over 28 billion Swedish kronor's worth of clothing articles, while importing an estimated 53 billion Swedish kronor's worth of clothes.
