The number of computed tomography (CT) scan examinations conducted in Finland increased by 102,413 scans (+40.25 percent) compared to the previous year. The year therefore marks a significant change in the number of CT scans compared to the previous year. CT or CAT scanner is an x-ray machine which combines many x-ray images with the aid of a computer to generate cross-sectional views and, if needed, three-dimensional images of the internal organs and structures of the body.
