Hydroelectricity in this statistic is based on gross primary hydroelectric generation and not accounting for cross-border electricity supply. Converted on the basis of thermal equivalence, where 'Input-equivalent’ energy is the amount of fuel that would be required by thermal power stations to generate the reported electricity output.
