The number of domestic arrivals at tourist accommodation establishments in the European Union (EU-27) increased in 2023 over the previous year, recovering from the impact of COVID-19. After declining to around 354 million with the onset of the pandemic, domestic tourist arrivals in the EU reached nearly 612 million in 2023, exceeding pre-pandemic levels.
