Overseas production volume Hyundai Motor 2024, by factory

In 2024, nearly 2.3 million vehicles were produced in Hyundai Motor Company's overseas factories. As a multinational, world-ranking car manufacturer which operated around the globe, Hyundai did not rely solely on its domestic plants for manufacturing. The South Korean carmaker's production facilities in India recorded the highest output at 767 thousand units. 

A leading automotive group

Hyundai Motor Company was among South Korea's leading automobile manufacturers. Together with its subsidiaries Kia Motors and Genesis Motor, it formed the Hyundai Motor Group. This group was one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the world, alongside the Japanese Toyota and the German Volkswagen groups. 

Hyundai Motor's popularity in India

Having recently overtaken China as the world's most populous country, India was considered an attractive market. Hyundai Motor India was in the upper echelon of carmaker rankings in India. Both Hyundai and Kia enjoyed prominence in the Indian passenger car market, boasting significant market shares.
