Bestselling SUVs South Korea 2024

In 2024, the Kia Sorento was the bestselling sports utility vehicle (SUV) model in South Korea with more than 94 thousand units sold. Kia Motors boasted the top models featured on the list.

Of the most popular SUVs shown in this statistic, the Sante Fe from Hyundai and the Carnival from Kia are considered large SUVs. In contrast, Kia's Seltos and Hyundai’s Kona are compact SUVs, with the Seltos being developed specifically to counter the success of Kona and Tivoli.

Automotive leaders in South Korea

South Korea’s automotive market was led by Hyundai and Kia, with both brands holding a significant market share. Hyundai’s best-selling car was the all-new Santa Fe, while Kia’s standout models were the Sorento and Carnival. In particular, the Sorento was the country’s favorite midsize SUV.
