U.S. - pedalcyclist fatalities in traffic crashes 2006-2022

In 2022, 1,105 cyclists were killed on roads in the United States. There has been a general upward trend in cyclist fatalities in recent years. The 14 percent increase between 2021 and 2022 may in part be explained by the inclusion of motorized bicycle riders in the data from 2022 onwards.
