This statistic displays the total indigenous production of primary fuels in the United Kingdom (UK) from 2000 to 2018. It shows that production of primary fuels decreased from 2000 to 2014, but increased again in the following years and totaled approximately 131.5 million metric tons of oil equivalent in 2018.
While the indigenous production of primary fuels has increased since 2014, the volume of indigenously produced fossil fuels received by refineries in the United Kingdom decreased during the same period. In 2014, refinery receipts from indigenous fossil fuels amounted to 10 million metric tons, falling to 5.3 million metric tons by 2018.
